Supervised Clinical Training Programme

— with Peter Gigante —

1289 Romsey Road, Romsey Victoria

After a long and winding incubation I’m proud to announce that enrolments are now open for our inaugural Spring intake of practitioners, commencing September 1, 2022.

The East West Therapies Community Children’s Clinic is a service designed to provide low-cost access to Chinese medical healthcare for children and has been in operation since February 2020. The clinic offers treatment for a wide range of children’s health issues, including illness and disease, trauma, disabilities and special needs.

The Community Children’s Clinic also operates as a training programme for the professional development of registered practitioners of Chinese Medicine, under the supervision of experienced senior practitioner, Dr. Peter Gigante. Read more about Dr. Gigante and his work here.

This program is designed for practitioners of Chinese medicine who wish to build their clinical experience in the treatment of children. It takes place in a purpose designed multi-bed community clinic under supervision, providing low-cost access to families who seek to support their children’s health using Chinese medicine. It utilises Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, paediatric tuina and point percussion therapy to promote child health and provide treatment for disease.

The clinic programme comprises of three 50-hour modules, taken in a self-paced capacity, with three seasonal intakes per year. A certificate of completion will be issued on the completion of each module, and at the completion of three units a Certificate of Competency will be issued.
